NivCon Level Controller

Article Number:

100304

The Nivcon monitors and controls the liquid level in a galvanic or other bath. With three sensor anodes the state of the level is monitored. These anodes are operating with alternating voltage. The input sensitivity of the anode can be adjusted via the inside potentiometer “W” of about 10kW to 150kW.

There are three different outputs. The under level is detected by a changer, the over level is detected by a changer and the target level ist detected by a normal closed and a normal open contact. Falling below the minimum level or rising above the maximum level occurs an error and opens the related alarm contact.

Monitoring:
The under level relay (U) is released (“U” LED lights up) when no voltage is applied or the lower anode is not flushed with liquid. So security is achieved with the relay closer-contacts!

Contact S (= target level) closes and “S” LED lights up when power is on, but target-level anode fluid is not flushed with liquid. If the target level of anode is washed with liquid, the follow-up time begins to expire. After this time has elapsed, the target level relay drops. Over the follow-up time, the stroke of liquid-level is determined. This is adjustable via potentiometer “T” between 5 s set and about 50 seconds. The top-level relay (O) drops (“O” LED lights) when no voltage is applied or the upper-level anode is washed with liquid. So security is achieved with the relay closer-contacts!

Factory setting: “T” is set to ~ 5 s and “W” ~ 20kW. The electronic circuitry is protected towards the anode with 4 kV  separation voltage.
